I edited the series of clips together we were given and tried to capture the general idea of Ike’s stable and his contribution to the children of Philadelphia. The video illustrates Ike’s selfless attitude toward helping others.
“The Life of Ms. Bigsby” Podcast

I chose to edit the interview with Ms. Bigsby. What interested me about this interview was Ms. Bigsby’s good-natured personality and aged wisdom. She gave a good illustration how Philadelphia has changed through the 20th century. Even though they are plenty of negative changes, she has no desire to move from North Philly because she has found her niche on her block and everybody knows her. I edited this interview with these interests in mind. I tried to use material that described her childhood in South Philly, and her current life in North Philly. I tried to balance her more negative outlooks on the current state of the city with her apparent contentedness within her block. Hope you enjoy it.
Music World
•October 2, 2008 • Leave a CommentThese images were taken around my house and they all have to do with making or listening to music. The theme of the slideshow has to do with the music as another world where there is a whole different language, which everyone interprets differently. It’s also a glimpse into where I spend most of my time while I’m at home.
It’s Electric!….Usually
•October 2, 2008 • Leave a CommentThis slideshow is about how music usually involves electricty. A lot of musical devices are utterly useless unless they are plugged in to an amplifier or an outlet and turned on. The captions in the beginning are supposed to be from the perspective of a person who knows absolutely nothing about any of the instruments and devices used for producing and listening to music, and since they are not on, they see them as useless junk. There are obviously plenty of instruments that don’t require power though, so I included some of that aspect too.
